16 weeks is about average to feel "quickening" it feels like gas..but if you don't end up farting, then it's the baby. I'm pretty sure you are feeling quickening.

I'm thirteen weeks and a couple of days.. I'm no longer constructive..however I have felt some thing I have on no account felt earlier than, in these days approximately three occasions..to me...it seems like a fish swimming into the bowl part. My physician informed me to not be amazed if I felt motion quickly. ( she stated my baby was once probably the most energetic child she'd ever obvious for 12w6d!)

The real first movement that I felt came at 18 weeks for me and the the sensation felt like a rolling wave in my belly and it also felt like the baby was flipping around inside almost like doing somersaults.

When I started to feel my baby (2nd pregnancy) I knew it was her. It kind of felt like a rolling sensation or like fish flopping in a basket. With my first pregnacy, I was just like you and I was never sure. Congratulations!
