I was stuck on what to do for lunch when the news appeared before me that there was free lunch upstairs. D-lish!

Just love them, thank god people get pregnant, quit and have birthdays. It really is the little things that will make your day isn't it. Yesterday it was finding my favorite socks in my car. (thought I had lost them)

I hate the so called free lunches.
We all group together and have what we call a PigOUT. We all bring our own dish. I hate it because I have to bring something. I would rather just bring my own lunch and not have to bother with everyone else. I guess I feel most people in my office are just out after something (back stabers) so I never have anything to say to them because I don't want them to know nothing about me.
As far as a paid lunch it is not a gift it to get us to do something. Everyone hates LEAN events because you are forced to give a speech on something that you did not agree with anyway. If you really had some sayso in the event then it might be ok to give a speech at the end of it. So they give free lunches to eveyone in the team. I would again rather just bring my own food and not be involved.
Sorry but there are no free lunches. You pay for them dearly. Forced to agree with something you don't agree with and they they give a free lunch saying it was a reward for the teams ideas. When it was one person in control and you are doing what they had planed before the meeting even started..

It would freak me out since I work at home, lol, but when I worked at the doctor's office we got free lunch twice and week and treats every frigging day. Maybe that's why I weigh 80 pounds less now.

Whenever we get free food at work, there's usually a string attached-i.e. have to work overtime or no lunch break.
