You should be grateful that you get anything you bunch of work shy good for nothings.
If I had my way, if you don't work (excluding genuine disability and sickness) you get nothing. And that's how it should be. I conceed that when some people lose their jobs through no fault of their own they should be helped for a period of one month. There is no excuse for anybody not to work for longer than that.
Do away with all these costly back to work schemes. Stop paying the spongers and they'll work. Trust me!

To furrie bug. If only you would take the time to read everything, you will see that I make a point of not including people with genuine disabilities. So you could have saved yourself the trouble of cursing me couldn't you?

I hereby cast upon you my dispair, my dissapointment, and depression. I wish for you to be cursed to become injured at work, broken and desolute!
I wish for you to become that which you despise!
You are right. I WILL work, crippled or not. I will think of you every time my pain causes me to freeze for a second, and I will wish again.

Oh yes that's a fantastic idea, not, a lot of people over the age of 50 who have lost their jobs either by redundancies or ageist companies have a lot of trouble finding jobs again as it is without having their unemployment money taken off them and as those people have paid into the system for many a year then they are the ones who do deserve their unemployment money as well as a right to employment, when you come up with jobs for those people then that would be great, but even the new ageist laws aren't going to help older people get jobs so what do you suggest they do for a living.

Don't u have some compassion. There are many good reasons why people don't work, there are many circumstances out there. There are some people that are genuinely lazy and do sponge but not all of them. I'm an orphan, i'm on unemployment benefit as i'm only 20. I'm going to college to better myself so that i can get a great job and make my own money, then i'll be paying taxes which will pay for other people, big deal!

Hello. I am one of those "work shy people" who u have mentioned. B O L L O C K S. I don't Work because i have a young son, and unfortunatley there is no work place that u can take ur child.
Once he is old enough to go to school then i shall gladly get a job.
I think u should have rephrased ur question and aimed it at the illegal imigrants, refugees, aslyum seekers and generaly lazy B A S T A R D S.
Thank you and goodnight

You are right we shouldn't be moaning and be really grateful for what we do get. Some of us don't fall in the catagory you are speaking about tho. Every year we have a week to 4 weeks when we are laid off. For those without a second income it can be a bit of a struggle. Unemployment isn't welfare, we pay into it and if you work while you are on it you have it deducted so it really doesn't pay to.

Because most people wold rather work and they are upset about not being able to work; on the other hand, the rest of the people who claim unemployment benefits are a bunch of lazy bums ho would rather take your money than work themselves.

It's not so much that these people are free-loafers. Sometimes it just takes people a long time to find employment. I've been looking for a job for two years and haven't found one yet. If people can't find work, it's not for lack of trying.

Uh, you only get unemployment if you have lost your job of no choice of your own.
And it can take 3-4 months to even find a new job.
However, the recipients need not complain in any way.

I paid over $130K in taxes over the last 4 years alone. Should I go to those on social security and tell them to stop spunging off of me? No.
Some people need the help, and I don't mind.
It's the one's who defraud others that should be forced to pay it back.

'....bunch of work shy good for nothings..." WTF?!.....Hows about "desperate for work but caught in a catch 22"situation"Some of us have no choice (graduates), it's not our fault that employers wont employ us due to 'lack of experience' or being 'overqualified'.....there are some of us who apply for unemployment benefits as a last resort......and to recieve any help from the jobcentre is miracle as they claim to be 'understaffed'....oh the irony!......
