I am wanting to find out my blood type. I have had blood samples taken from me at my local surgery before, so would they have record of my blood type? If so, could they give me that information?

They had better have your blood type or I would be concerned.
I am sure if you contact them they can find your blood type for you.

Unlikely. Generally, unless it is specifically requested on the test, your blood group is not established (it's additional expense to an already overloaded NHS). To find out, why not give blood if you are eligible? Not only is your blood group determined, but you are routinely tested for Hep. B as well as other conditions, plus you are potentially saving lives. Everyone's a winner.

just because they drew your blood previously, doesn't mean that it was checked for type. the test, called a type and cross, is usually done prior to a procedure that may require transfusion, like major surgery.
So, they may not have your type in their record. If you want to know your blood type, first ask your dad what his is, if he knows, yours will be the same. Everyone has their father's blood type. If he doesn't know then you will have to have blood drawn specifically for that test.
