I created a banner for my website and i am trying to save it as a .jpg or even a .gif but it wont let me. the only options it gives me is .psd, .cin, .pdf, .raw, .png, .tif
Its starting to get a little frustrating!! HELP!

I have been using the SAVE AS option, its giving a very limited choice and .jpg isnt one of them.

It should be no problem if you save by clicking "save for the web" on the achive menu. If this didn't work then you have to preview the image and manually choose jpg or gif. to save it.

Your color settings are probably wrong. Perhaps it is in 16/bits a channel or 32/bits a channel. jpg's and gif's only allow 8 bits/channel.

To fix this silly annoyance, click on "Image" on the top toolbar, select mode, and make sure the settings are "RGB color", and "8/Bits / Channel"

Alternatively, as others suggested, "Save for Web" should ignore the image mode, and work. Even if you use Save for Web, I still recommend setting the right Image modes as the colors could come out different than you expected.

Do a d file SAVE AS. This should give you the jpg option

you need to save it as a copy (under save options) in order to save as a jpg.
