is statistically a much bigger threat than Osama Bin Laden, or terrorism. About 120,000 people have died on America's hwy's since 9/11 due to Alcohol...priorities? Easy to get angry at other people killing us, but if we do it to each other, than it MUST be ok, since we just whitewash this aspect of our society.

But you can't make much of a story if more people die from bee stings every year than shark attacks...because people don't fear a bee, but they sure feed on fear.

Human nature is pretty interesting, don't you agree?

Just a note to those of you who wonder what would happen if alcohol was made illegal. Check out something called the 18th amendment, which initiated prohibition in the US. For 13 years alcohol WAS illegal in this country. Was it any safer? Don't know, you'd have to ask all those people who were forced to stay out of the way of the organized crime syndicates that managed to manufacture and transport alcohol during that time.

Bee stings don't make national headlines while shark attacks do. That is one reason people fear it more. Another reason is because you have to be allergic to a bee in order for it to kill you while a shark can kill anyone.

Yes, human nature is very interesting and I love to sit back and watch people. It is one of the best forms of entertainment. If you want some real fun, go into a bar on a weekend night and order a soda, then sit back and watch all the people around you get drunk and stupid. I was a bartender in college and never drank on duty. It wasn't long until I realized that I was just like them when I drank too. I haven't had a drink since and it has been 20 years.

Trust me, making alcohol illegal will simply probably never happen. But I really do agree. I am a non-drinker and there should be troopers doing random tests and sobriety check-points on highways. Where I live, the nearby highway as been closed to one lane and stopped randomly on the weekends to give sobriety tests. They have caught a lot of people and I am for it totally. I think that this country needs getter laws and longer sentences giving to people with DUI's. In my local newspaper, someone was caught at 2 different checkpoints in a month Drunk, and it was his 4th DUI, waht is he doing with a license and why is he not encarcerated? But lets face it, terrorism is increasing drastically, especially in other countries because of our president, that is a fact. I believe in the future there will be more people to die because of the US foreign relations with other countries.

I agree! I would like to have it to where I could have video and radar equipment in my car so that when some one does something stupid I could just push a button and record the incident then by satellite send it to the local police department ,,,And if I were caught in the same manner so be it laws are there for our own safety no one should be above the law

you aren't any more the first man or woman to be wondered by skill of cellular telephone. I, too, had a "false impression" with someone who saved calling me stressful to talk such as his lady friend. I had an same volume as her, yet diverse section code. yet, I digress... apart from dealing with the worry of filing papers hostile to the guy, it truly is bogus from the start, the potential of him coming go-united states of america for somewhat ***-whooping isn't very good. The *** in me would recommend somewhat dirty trickery. placed up his telephone volume to quite a few solicitation web content, possibly the interior of sight democratic social gathering volunteer volume. Heh... No, i does no longer mission too a lot. feels like he's only complete of bluster. If it really is going to change into complicated, you could bypass on your cellular service, tell them to procure someone who's harassing you. they could block that volume or they'd replace your volume. some companies will do this for loose. some would fee a small fee. communicate with them and be conscious what their coverage is. wish this helps.

Yes, its silly. After all a 5 mph national speed limit would reduce traffic deaths to almost zero. Probably still be a few pedestrians that couldn't quite get out of the way.
