At a preservation in S.C. the gators have demolished the beaver population, but not the gophers. Any other predator which eats one, eats the other as well?????

Proximity. Beavers are mostly in water. Alligators are mostly in water. Gophers are not in water. Throw a gopher in the water. I bet the alligator would eat it.

they do gopher gophers but when they gopher them they miss so they gopher the beavers instead
