She's just temporary, right, until Olivia gets back? What do you think of her character?

She was OK, i especially liked the way she knocked that guy with the billyclub last nite - lol But she is no Olivia - i just loved Mariska (spelled wrong, i know) - her and the cute hunky partner guy just had really good chemistry - it seemed a bit forced last nite with the new chick. Hopefully it'll pick up and Mariska will be back in action soon - she had the baby in August, so she should be back after the holiday's hopefully! :) Great questions! :)

Beck looked like she had a constant hateful look throughout the whole show. That is my opinion. Connie Neilson plays Beck and her acting was good, but Mariska Hargitay fit the character Olivia perfectly.
I'll have to see more with the character Beck in the series, but it is a big change. To have Stabler without Olivia, is going to be hard to get use to.
I hope Mariska will be back after her maternity leave is over. She will be greatly missed.

It is hard to adjust to a new detective especially knowing she is only here for four more episodes. I love Olivia's character and think Mariska is an amazing actress who has had years to develop her charcater and hone her craft. She won her first EMMY this year! The new character is quite the contrast to Oliva, but is just a little to harsh for my taste. I enjoyed the show and the rough arround the edge exterior to Fin and Elliot but she is just to abrasive for my taste. Not what I expected from the SVU vibe. She should partner with Anthony Anderson. There's a show for you...

I was actually going to ask a question about this untill I saw this question. I personally don't like her as much as Olivia. Her acting skills are no were near as good as Mariska Hargitay (Olivia). Mariska is a great actor and she really knows how to play the part. Detective Back (I'm not sure what her real name is) isn't as good with the acting part, it seems fake to me.
I can't wait untill Olivia comes back!

Undecided...I definitely like Olivia better. Beck's not so bad, though - at least Connie Nielsen is a good actress.

I think she is ok, but Olivia and Elliot belong together. I imagine she is just filling in while Mariska Hargitay is on maternity leave.

I didn't like her...too brash, imo. Yes, being a NYC cop means you need the attitute to do the job but she just grated on my nerves. Olivia will be back eventually from her undercover work

I can't wait for olivia to come back.I won't say anything bad about that girls performance b/c i am use to olivia so I of course want her back, she's awsome.
