Is it so the audience won't get bored? Is it something in their contracts? Does anyone know the answer? :)

Last season, Vincent D'ionofrio *Goran* collapsed on set from exhaustion. To ease his work load, NBC got Chris Noth to reprise his role as Mike Logan. That's why they alternate episodes...to give Vincent a break

Vincent D'Onofrio collapsed on the set a while back. They say it was stress/overwork. The second set of characters was brought in to lighten the load. I like Chris Noth as Logan, but I could watch Bob Goren every week. Plus he's got a cooler partner.

As the others have said Vincent was too stressed to keep up the pace and they have rotated others in to fill his spot. I hope they bring him back - he's my favorite - just so crazy he is the way he plays his character and gets into people's minds! I hope they bring him back soon b/c i am not a big chris noth fan.

I hate that.I heard at one time the producers were having a hard time with Vincent d.I can't spell his last name and they were considering replacing him. I sure hope that doesn't happen b/c he is my whole reason for ever watching law and order. I had never watched any of them until he came on.I love both Goren and Eames. what happened to ADA Carter? I'm not sure I like Bogosian. we'll see.
