That was way back in 1977. Ever since then he has done cartoon voice overs and he's a writer. Most notably, he does the voice of the joker in the Batman catoons.

I can't believe there are people on here saying "who?"!!! Please tell me they are kidding?!!
I think Mark Hamill (LUKE SKYWALKER from STAR WARS) was in a car crash when he was filming in 1977 but he went on to complete the original trilogy and has done cartoon voice overs (like The Simpsons) but no major film work.
Confusingly, there is also a British actor called Luke Hamill. He was in a car crash before he was an actor that left him in a wheelchair. He was in The Bill and has been in Casualty a couple of times too. He, as far as I know, hasn't done any cartoon voice overs or major films, but he is REALLY SEXY!!!
Really confusingly, there is also a gay porn actor called Luke Hamill but I know nothing about him, his work or his vechicular activities - thankfully!!!

Yes, he was in that car crash a million years ago..the scene where Luke is attacked by the Wompa in ESB..was written especially for Mark after that..to explain the extensive plastic surgery his face required. Mark was also the voice of the Joker in "Batman..the Animated Series". Apart from doing films now and then *Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, anyone?*, he has also lent his voice for video/computer games.

He was in a car crash years ago - 1977, while still filming the Star Wars original trilogy. Changed his looks a bit from the surgery to repair the damage. You can actually see the scar on his upper lip in the 2nd movie.

Star wars is so good! I love those films!
He done a bit of theatre work after star wars then some cameo appearances then voices on cartoons.
Hes just not in the limelight anymore, he peaked with star wars nothing will ever be better than that. Once your at the top the only way is down.
Have a look on his fanclub website

Last few things I've seen him in:
He played the town reverend in John Carpenter's remake of "Village of the Damned", starring the late Christopher Reeve.
He was the voice of the Joker in the Batman animated series.
He had a cameo appearance as the supervillain "C*ckKnocker" in the movie "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back".
You might also check on IMDB.com for his latest whereabouts.
