I have lost Ch5, amongst others, in the past and just had to periodically try retuning to pick them back up. Rather than doing a full retune each time try just setting it to add new channels only, at least that way you won't lose any and it won't disrupt your favourites list etc too much. It can come down to what is happening with the weather as to whether you get some channels or not.

Yes, do you have a freeview box? A freeview box allows you to receive more than the usual channels 1-5. I suspect you do as you specifically asked about film four and one's been able to recieve this for years using Sky or Cable.
Film four replaced E4+1 on the freeview EPG so you might want to look further up your channel listing where E4+1 used to live. You might also want to reboot your box by turning it off for 5 minutes. You could also manually force your box to search for new channels, look at the manual but something like menu/ technical/ search.
You might also want to check www.digitalspy.co.uk/freeview - look under channel listings - do you have the other channels listed. Film four may be on a multiplex that you can't recieve because your aerial and internal cabling is inferior and needs to be replaced.
Hope the above helps. Ed.

Do a new install with the digibox.

It should be in the menu somewhere for you to do a first installation. When you do that it searches for all channels that retuning wont do.

I had to do that with my digibox and then i got all channels including film 4
