Depending on how you look at it. It could just be something very minimal as well. I had a urine test a few years ago and they found blood in it. I ended up having all of these extra tests done and they never did find anything. Try not to freak out and remember that know matter how you feel about the results, they are already there, just go see what is wrong.

Good Luck

One thing to keep in mind... if you have insurance, a lot of doctors will do whatever they have to do to get more money out of the insurance.

My husband and I have had several blood and urine tests over the last year (for routine maintenance and for some health issues). No matter what the results, we had to go into the office to get them. This included driving almost an hour to see a cardiologist so he could tell my husband the tests were all fine and nothing was wrong.

Don't stress about it until you know what the results are. Your doctor could just be like ours... money hungry.

if your results came back and you were told to re-visit your gp, then that should have been the first thing to do instead of asking it here. call your gp right away, they may be able to tell you something of whats going on to ease your worry until your appointment date. of course, i know that you have already made your appointment before asking on answers. i think you are looking for reassurement that it isn't serious, plus, you have no idea if the results are actually positive, or just a precaution, only no one here can tell you that. i once had a pap test come back with suspicious findings, and i was told to call my gyn-ob. i did this as soon as i received the call. another test was done, and found that it wasn't anything at all. but the nurse told me that most women, that has a suspicious test wait before calling. she stated that they, these women or men are afraid to find out, because it may be something serious. she told me i was 1 in a million to have called the same day i received my results. better early than later, and better later isn't always the best, because in your waiting whatever may be wrong just may become worse. GOD BLESS!!! AND I PRAY IT ISN''T SERIOUS!!! BEST OF HEALTH TO YOU, WTH LOVE!!!!!!
ps
never look at things so negatively, try to see things in the light with positiveness. think of this as an optimist, that whatever it may be is caught early enough before it may become serious.
AND AS I SAID BEFORE "GOD BLESS." AND THE BEST OF HEALTH TO YOU!!!!

Stop worrying and see your doctor. I also had blood in my urine..had to go through a LOT of tests. Even was told it was bladder cancer since I tried smoking a little a few years back...two weeks later I was told no cancer..with all the tests they found nothing.. Come to find out all the females in my family have blood in the urine.

At its most basic a positive urinary test can be anything. You don't say what symptoms you had, but at the very least you coult have a urinary tract infection. Untreated urinary tract infections can damage your kidneys. They are treated easily with a course of antibiotics.
So go see your doctor, you dope, and find out what the results are instead of obsessing over what they might be!

Most surgeries would not allow staff to tell patients their results - it could be that the Doctor only is able to tell you what is going on - could be an infection that needs treating, very common like cystitis or something - I'm sure it is nothing to be concerned about.

It could be a number of things. Were you being tested for anything in particular? Are you feeling bad? Are you sick? No one can really tell you because you check urine for lots of things.

It could be a number of things - from simple office procedures, (privacy), a bladder infection or anything. I wouldn't worry too much if I were you it is probably something minor. Good luck!
