I am posting this question again in this section to see if I get more advice. I am semi-in-the-closet- bisexual female. (I'm in college and experimenting right now) I have a boyfriend and I don't desire to change that. He know's I'm bi and allows me to date women. But I only date online and haven't been too successful. I'm too afraid of offending a woman in public if I come on to here and she's not gay/bi. I'm not very openly bi, so I'd like to remain discreet about it. What should I say or do if I am at school, work, a gay bar and see a woman I'm interested in befriending?

Try talking to her first. Bring up a GLBT issue in general to see where she stands, before relating it to yourself. Being friends with someone always helps.

I hope you only plan on dating bi women, because a lot of lesbians will not want you if you have a boyfriend. And let me ask you something: Since your boyfriend is okay with you dating women, would you be okay if he wanted a boyfriend on the side?

Bi women like you give decent bi women a bad name. You have a man and woman at the same time, and think you are not cheating since they are of opposite sexes. And if you like women so much, why are you still in the closet. If your ashamed of it, you shouldn't be doing it.

But you did ask a question, so I'm going to answer it. If you see a girl that you like, and you're out in public, strike up a conversation with her. Find a way to give her your number for something, like something you have in common. From there, see if she has a boyfriend, if she even like boys, and how she feels about dating women.

Just give her the look. Eye Contact. I'm sort of in the same boat.

Just go for it, what do you have to lose? People admire confidence and people who take risks. How well do you know her?

Good luck with it.
