Most cigarette lighters are wired into a circuit that is used for other purposes. Most commonly things like auxillary lights, radio, etc. If you don't have anything else that is not functioning the I would suspect the problem is with the lighter plug itself. There is no special fuse, relay or switch specifically for the lighter.

If you suspect it's the lighter, then you'll need to open the dash to remove the lighter and then see where the fault it. Lighters are pretty simple things. Many have only one wire (the hot one) that is plugged into the back of the lighter and for grounding, they use the mounting connection. However, since most dash supports are plastic these days, some lighter require two wires.. a hot wire to the back and ground wire that ties to the mounting bracket of the lighter. To test, unplug the hot wire and tape it against a good known ground (metal screw into metal body part). If you see a small spark then you have power to the lighter so either the lighter is broke or the ground connection is bad. If you don't get a spark, then you'll need to find out where that hot wire is unplugged and/or broken.

Good luck and I hope this helps!
