A downloadable studio version of The Saints Are Coming will be released at the end of October, and a week later ( November 6th) a 7" and CD version will go on sale for the single. You can still purchase the live track from Rhapsody.

that song, actually called "The Saints are Coming" is a cover of an old punk song by a Scottish band named "The Skids." The song appears on their debut album, Scared to Dance, in 1978 on Blue Plate Records, according to the All Music Guide. The song also appears on their 1981 release Fanfare, on the Virgin label.
The Skids' version of the song can be heard on this "Best of" album, found on Amazon.com

I'm not sure about the U2/Green Day version. I doubt it has been recorded by them. The video might be available online somewhere.
The Skids formed in 1977 and disbanded in 1982, acc. to the All Music Guide. Incidentally, the Skids were fronted by Stuart Adamson who went on to found the 80s band Big Country

technically working type hero isn't a sparkling music anyhow. that's a green Day conceal of John Lennon's music inspite of the incontrovertible fact that that's new for green Day. radio stations record the music as new simply by fact that's a sparkling addition to the station's play record so technically for them that's new.
