I want to ask this in the most sincere and delicate way possible with as few giggles as possible. When I was a young male (16 to 18) like most guys my age, I use to measure "things". heck, maybe I even kept a chart of said "things"... Any way, now that I'm a middle aged man (of 40) I have noticed at least one of the "things" as being functional, but about 4 inches shorter than my proud younger days. I'm dead serious. I'm a non-smoker, not overweight, low cholesterol. What is going on and can anything reverse this? Help... Please....

As you age your erection becomes weaker due to the effects of aging. This may manifest itself as a somewhat shorter length. Four inches seems like a lot to me though. I would suppose that you gave yourself the benefit of the doubt and rounded all numbers upwards when you were young but now that you are older and presumably wiser you are rounding down measurements.

I wouldn't worry about it though, at least as long as it works!

See a doctor - this is unique. A penis does not change size as you age. However, if you are very overweight, a build up of fat near the pubis may be hiding part of the shaft. Otherwise, you simply didn't measure correctly in your teens.

Maybe you wanted the measurement to be greater when you were a teenage boy & over exagerated it by a few inches. Now you are facing reality.

Sometimes the length decreases but the girth increases. Remember the saying "it's not the sword but the swordsmanship?" I don't think I would worry about it, but I don't think it will change. Perhaps now you're just better at math.......

the comment about girth is a good point. has it gotten wider? trust me, girth is much more important anyway!

do not be afraid to ask your doctor. even if your doctor can't help, you might at least understand what is happening.
