Go to Howlett's Wild Animal Park which is brillant, especially the monkey cages and the talks are good too. Plenty to do and lots to see, not too expensive either and a lot of the money goes towards animals there.

Also, try Chattham docks, they had a nice open day when we were there and you can go on both a boat and a Submarine (not sure how accessible this will be with a 3 year old, but the 5 year old might like it) and I remember there was a adventure play area type place there too.

If you have a car, perhaps take a drive down to the coast if the weather holds as it's not that far and some stuff will probably still be open.

If it's open there is also a museum which features childrens characters past and future (rupert, bagpuss etc). The roman museum may be a little too old, but may be worth checking out as they have an archeological area where kids can play including make their own mosaic.

Farming World. My two loved it and they're 5 and 2. That's assuming you have transport of course but if you get off the bus at Boughton it is only a short walk.
