could anyone tell me how to trust people that u have known all ur life?

my family is something. they go against at all times no matter what. they arent supportive or trust worthy. i need answer from some1 over 25 if possible

If they aren't trustworthy, don't trust them. You can't demand trust and respect, you have to EARN it. If they haven't earned it, don't give them trust.
Surround yourself with people that you do trust and who does support you. You need positive interaction with other people, not negative ones that will just pull you down. You have to look after what's best for YOU, b/c no one else will do it for you.

If you already know they are not trustworthy then why trust them ? Your only going to set yourself up for getting hurt yet again. People lie and there is nothing we can do about it. You just need to take everything these people say with a grain of salt and move on.

If they aren't trustworthy and have proven that they will lie to or cheat you, then you SHOULDN'T trust them, unless it's in what they see as their best interest to be honest with you.

Blood may be thicker than water, but betrayal dilutes it pretty quick.

if you can't trust your own family, who can ya trust! well if ya can't trust your family try to go to some1 you (not anyone else) you think is trustworthy to u. but if that doesn't work out, try to depend on yourself. it that doesn't work well ya on ya own with that.

I agree - if they have proved that you can't trust them, then don't. Find people that you can count on and make them your family.
