yes, & their home life really creeps me out. i have told the mother my opinion also... she is doing them a disservice by not allowing them to experience the realities of being a teen or learning to rely on themselves. they freak out when mommy isn't home (@ 13 & 15). it really is disturbing.

my sister in law has been homeschooling her son since he was 4 and hes now going on 12. Hes extremely smart, very well mannered, more so than most kids I've seen who aren't.
They are involved in a homeschooling network where all the parents have to teach at least one subject to a group of kids. I really am interested in doing so but with my son having mild autism I really don't know if that's a good idea. Guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it

I know several families that do. I see pluses and minuses to both sides. Myself I have one child I could never homeschool his personality and mine would clash then I have 2 I could and the youngest I am uncertain of right now..............

the key is to keep them involved in other activities too so they have networking outside the home.

I am not home-schooled but I go to church with a family that is home-schooled. There are seven kids in that family but not all of them are old enough to start school yet.
