Anybody else start dialating at 36 wks? I would like to know how long it took for you to go into labor. I know everybody is different, I am just curious though.

its normal to have a hightened sexual hunger lol....but it could take a long time for you to dialate fully....its completly normal you could walk around for a whole month 3 cm dialated...just relax...dont stress til your water breaks.

I was 36 weeks 1 cm and 50% effaced and I went into labor at 39 weeks after my water broke. But evryone is different. You might be in labor before you know it or you might take a couple of weeks, you never can tell.

For me i started to hurt and dilated 2cm at 33 1/3 weeks and went into labor and they stopped it but when i got to be 36 weeks i started to hurt again and my water didn't break but the fluid around the baby was low. (It was just dripping, I didn't even notice)....
I was having contractions and was still at 2cm from when i had been 33 weeks. They tried to stop my labor but couldn't, I had pre-eclampsia and ended up having my baby on 8/16/01 (My due date was 9/14/01) by a c-section cause he was breech....

I timed it though when i started hurting that day (aug 15) I was hurting every 5 minutes, went to the hospital and had him after midnight (16th)....

You sound like you could do the same.. have your baby early like me.
My son was healthy when he was born. He weighed 4 pounds, 15.6 ounces and was 17 inches long. He went home with me when i got out of the hospital (3 days later)..

We didn't have no problems.. Good luck to you and congrats

I was dialated to a two for 3 weeks before my son was born - he was born on his due date. In fact once my water broke it still took me almost 24 hours to get him out lol. It's definitely not a sign that you will go early or anything - many women start to dilate early but if you're worried about it a call to your ob should ease your mind :).

yes with my second preg, i started dialating at about 35 1/2 weeks, but she was 3 days late. it just depends on your body, it also could be happening because of you having sex. which is not bad. i'm in the same boat right now, my hormones are crazy. but as long as your dr doesn't tell you to stop, it is ok.

It's been a while since I was pregnant, but I'm pretty sure it is quite common to begin dialating that early.

doesn't take long after you've reached 36 weeks. This baby will come when he/she is good and ready. Busy yourself doing something else and don't worry. By the way, congratultions!
