I have my ears pierced 3 times, all of which my mom gave consent. I turn 16 on sunday and am planning to have my ear pierced several more times if possible. Does anyone know at what age i can get my ear pierced without parental consent? and if i need someone to sign something, does it have to be a parent, or can it be anyone over 18?

As far as I know, you have to be 18 to get your ears pierced without parents' consent. I think it has to be a parent, but I am not sure on that one.

When I first had my ears pierced, my mom had to sign a form even though I was 18 at the time because I look young for my age and I did not have a Driver's License yet.

If you Mom gave consent the other three times, I don't know why she would not give consent again. The best thing to do is ask, in my opinion. It seems to me your ears are pierced enough. You may destroy the beauty of the other piercings by doing more. Your ears will sag, etc.

I think it varies from state to state. I live in California and here you have to be 18 to get any piercings without parental consent. But you can have a family member who is of legal age sign for you. But it has to be a blood relative. But you should also take into consideration respect for your parents. I would never have gone behind my parents back to have something like that done. And you could lose their trust. So please think about it before doing any thing,

You must be 18 to have your ears pierced w/out parental consent. You must bring a parent along to sign a form, and they must also show their driver's license. It's quite a technical process, for health reasons.

From a parental perspective, I would not want my child (under 18) to do anything to their body without my knowledge or concent. Doing something behind your parent's back is a sign of disrespect and rebellion.

You have to be 18, and "yes" your parent has to sign consent.
