Try Southwest.com... They fly out of Love Field (my favorite airport in Dallas because it is so much less stress and walking!) and have many, many times to choose from for all of the other Texas cities like Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Lubbock. In advance you can get amazing rates, but this close you are probably looking at 109 each way.

Flights don't work that way. They go off advance purchase and if you book last minute you will pay more.
They used to do it this way, however not any longer because to many people would wait until last min. and not plan in advance, thus one of the big reasons airlines are in bankruptcy status now.
As far as cost this depends on where you want to fly to from Dallas. $150.00 or below, unfortunately I would say no matter where you are looking you won't find this price, but then again I don't know your arrival city you are interested in.
The airlines are changing it to where people that plan in advance will get the better prices, not last minute people.

Southwest.com usually has flights for $50 per segment between Dallas and Houston per person.
Although, you could drive...its only four and a half hours

If you're only booking a week in advance, then you can definitely expect to pay more than that. But, I always used Orbitz or Priceline.com.
