My pediatrician said between 12-15 months the baby should be off the bottle.

My son was the same way I just threw out all the bottles and made him drink from sippy cups, after a couple of days he was drinking fine.

There are cups called nuby, they have a top that is the same material as a bottle top but in sippy cup from, my son has an easier time drinking out of those.

I too nursed and I had that prob because I used to only give her the breast milk in the bottles but her juice, drinkable yogurt and water in the sippy cups, which I started that at 5 mos. I bought different kind of cups to try to give her the milk in too, she wasn't having it. I didn't try to start giving her the milk in the cups though until she was a little over 1. I started just giving her the milk at night in her bottle before she went to bed then I had just 1 cup that I would give her the milk in and I started giving her the milk in that cup and eventually just stopped giving her the milk in the bottle at night. Honestly I didnt stop giving her the bottle with the milk at night until she was a lil over 18 mos. I looked at it like shes just getting it before she goes to sleep and shes drinking everything else out of cups so whats the problem. You don't care what nobody say though because she is your baby and you are the one that has to deal with it, because everyone is going to have something to say.

our fist daughter did not get off the bottle till 15 months old. The doc says before a year but every kid is different. We just had to finally throw all the bottles away and once she realized the bottle was no option she accepted the sippy cup.

I'm hoping to have my son off at his first b-day. He drinks water from a sippy cup now, but not enough. I am hoping when he does not get the bottle anymore he will drink much more from the cup.

about a week or 2 before my daugther turned 1, we would slowly get her into milk:

Week 1: 1/4 milk, 3/4 formula
Week 2: 1/2 milk, 1/2 formula
Week 3: 3/4 milk, 1/4 formula, in a Sippy Cup
Week 4: 100% milk , In a Sippy Cup

I washed the bottles and put them away out of sight. She never asked or wanted them again.

The rule of thumb is one year old, her teeth are developing and bottles can cause the teeth to decay. She will adjust to a sippy cup eventually and always remember, they will drink less and less the older they get. It's okay that she is drinking less, what's happening is she is filling up on the bottle and eating less big girl food, once the bottle is gone, she will start eatting more and drinking less, getting her nutrients from food. She's growing up mamma, yank that bottle away. It's not going to be easy, but you can do it and so can she!

Good luck!

it's about time to get her off the bottle. Of course, all children will drink less, and of course...they refuse the sippy cups at first. Make it fun, make a game out of it, and make sure they know they're 'getting big!!' and don't need a bottle anymore (eww...bottles are for babies!).
I, fortunatly, didn't have any problems with this, but I do know that it's common. Speak to your pediatrician about it.

I took my son off @ 9 months.Trust me take her off and give ger a sippy cup.1.because the bottle will mess up their teeth.2.Trust me she will drink until she gets enough.Sometimes we underestimate our children ,not purposely but we do.Give her the benifir of the doubt that she will let you know if it isnt enough.Im potty training my son and he's 13 months an dhe's getting the hang of it.I undersetimated him thinking it was too soon. Its not he's enjoying it.Same thing w/the pacifier I took it @ 6months cold turkey an dhe forgot about it in a weel.Im saying this to say that your baby will let you know what she wants and doesnt want dont put your fear inside of her give her a chance an dshe might go for it and maybe not.

Give her a soft spout sippy and some time. She will get the hang of it. I broke all my kids at 9months of the bottle.
