Hi, I had a c-section 7 weeks ago today. I stopped bleeding 2 weeks and three days after the c-section and then about two weeks later i started to bleed again. I called my doctor and he said it was my first period but, i don't think it was it lasted 10 days but then when it quit i started having a brown discharge that lasted about 4 days then it turned into blood which definitly seems more like my period because it's lighter and i have cramps and all. The only thing is that my doctor told me to start my birth control when my period started which i thought my period had already started and was done a long time ago. Now i am confused should i quit taking the birth control for now and then start them when my next period starts? if i'm taking the pills still i will end up having my period again in 6 days because i'm already close to the bottom of the pack when my period is really supposed to start. Please Help! Has this happened to any one else? I think my doctor was wrong.

i guess it happens...after giving birth women's harmones change..some it change a lot, for some its
normal and for some lucky ladies its not...
i know one lady my hubby's friend's wife she have her period for almost one and i say 1 yr....ahhhhhhhhhhh
god thank god it wasn't me...
so don't worry..keep checking up with your doc...if still u don't trust her than get a second opinion with other doc.

I had a c-section 7 months ago and still have a wacked out cycle that is similar in description to yours. Your body needs time to recover from all the hormonal stuff and to get back on track. However, you know your body best and if you feel it's not right you can discuss with your doctor again, but if he's not giving you the answers you feel comfortable with, you need to go to another doctor. Your may just need to switch BC pills.

sometimes doc's can mis diagnose something especially if you talked to them over the phone or had a message relayed to you through the nurse or receptionist...I wish I could help but I have never had a C section...my mom just got over one (healing) but she had some serious problems with her incision(sp) and had to be hospitalized so she never had the normal healing thing...ugh...if I were you I would call the receptionist at your docs office tell her everything you just told us including what the doc told you and then what is happening now and tell her you need to know what to do and if this is normal....she will help you and if she doesnt or you dont get the answer you need...go to the ER..they will figure it out lol...good luck and dont stress...(which I know is hard not to do when you dont know whats going on with your body...I feel for you...but honestly that is what I would do if I was in your situation)

I would just continue the birth control...with time, everything will even itself out.
