We've driven cross country with our dog several times and it's never an issue. The only place you should have a problem is if you're crossing borders! We hid our dog to get into Canada! Good luck

Call your vet. You'll need to schedule an appointment with your vet, probably a day or so before leaving so that he/she can give a complete physical. They should fill out a health certificate for each animal (I'm not sure about the bird). You will need to let them know how many states you are going through, and where exactly you'll be stopping. The certificate is only good for 7 or 10 days and so you'll probably have to find another vet on the way if it takes any longer than that.

The canines could contain shot information & a veterinary certificates of well-being, as this is the regulation for the broker to furnish this to the customer, in maximum states. domestic dog may be too youthful for Rabies pictures. basically make beneficial the breeder is adhering to the regulation with regards to furnishing vet information. threat is, this is something that may not even arise on the holiday, whether you're pulled over. commercial transportation of livestock is the only element that *robotically* is composed of government checking place of work work. I drove a truck OTR for 5 years with 2 canines on my truck, as do many many truck drivers....neither I nor no person i understand has ever *as quickly as* been asked with the aid of regulation enforcement to furnish Rabies vaccine or the different place of work work for their canines....and in a truck, scales & ordinary inspections are an exceptionally commonn incidence. If honestly anybody have been going to be hassled approximately wearing pets for the duration of state traces, it may be truckers....and with all the different stuff they arise with to "milk" funds out human beings, you will think of if our pets have been one extra sales generator, that they had use it ;). California has "agricultural inspection" stations for anybody once you enter the state, yet they do no longer seem to be recent on the different area....this may be the only place you *could* have problems in case you have been getting into CA (they do grab ferrets on the California border considering that they're unlawful there). you shouldn't have any problems on the holiday abode nevertheless. sturdy success.

Across state lines there shouldn't be any problem (not like there is a border crossing there anyway). If you are worried about it, take their vaccination records (usually people only care if they are vaccinated against rabies), but I highly doubt you will run into any trouble. Crossing international borders is a different story, but state borders, nah.
