How are we supposed to learn morals from the far, far left?

I thought morals were supposed to be instilled by your parents and family. Why would anyone look at a political group to learn morals. That's like trying to learn Spanish from a mute.

Liberals have no belief in personal accountablity.
Liberals have no respect for Christianity.
Liberals have no real agenda, their goals change with the blowing winds.
IF we actually tried to learn morals from the far far left we would all be homosexual abortion doctors, kissing celebrity butts, throwing pigs blood on anyone wearing fur or eating a turkey sandwich (which would also make us hypocrits because we are using animal blood to show outrage at someone wearing animal hide and eating animal flesh, being a hypocrit is VERY important if you want to be a true liberal) poking fun at Christians (because belief in the salvation through Christ is laughable to a lib) but we MUST embrace any other religion and especially Atheists because that is diversity, we would also be wearing AIDS ribbons and making half sensible arguments on why we must give all the money we can to research AIDS...we dont worry about Diabetes, Heart Disease or Parkinsons...they are not glamorous enough, celeb's love AIDS fundraising so it must be the right thing to do, we would also be very undecisive on every topic like the war against terror and never answer a question directly, if we are asked a specific question about a wrong we comitted or an inappropriate action or comment we made we must become angry and blame our imperfections on President Bush, the Republican party and a Christian bi-partisan congress.

The left generally don't take the "moral high ground" fire & brimstone approach. When teaching on a platform of morality, these people are expected to live to the very same standards. That being said, to look in the political world for moral guidance in any case, in any party, in any forum is just outright ridiculous. I agree. I think that was part of Jim W's point. The far right is always advocating morals for all the Americans who want to believe that morals have a thing in the world to do with politics.

This question is a bit confusing. Who are the far left? Democrats or Republicans or ...? I always thought that the far, far left were considered extreme liberals and were often Democrats. I certainly wouldn't want them to dictate our morals in which case it would be a complete lack of morals that they would be advocating. Here's another question: How are parents and family supposed to instill morals if there is no support in the schools and the public arena? If it's being taught at home and then you go to school where anything goes, I suspect that the net result on the child in question is that he will default to the "Anything Goes" morality that he finds at school. Chew on that and spit it out a couple of times.

who looks at a political group to learn morals? i've never met anyone who does that. people tend to fall into a group because that's what they believe in, not they join a group and then start believing what they say - well, except for scientologists.
