There are already cures for cancer. Our FDA have the drug companies interests at heart. Drug companies, hospitals, and insurance companies would rather treat, and medicate, than find a cure. No money in cures. Therefore, real cures are frowned upon.
My father died of cancer, the first time he was in the hospital removed his pancreas, part of the liver, his spleen, most of his stomach, and part of the colon. That cost over $300,000.He came home the day before his birthday.
Two months later, it came back. There was nothing left to remove. That cost $180,000. The insurance company said no more coverage. He lived for one more month.
I miss him every day.
There are cures.

Personally as a Patient that is Just Recovering from Bowel
Cancer, I think There are more Resources and Breakthru's
Every Day Thank Goodness.
The problem is The Pharmaceutical Companies.
I believe they Have a Myriad of new Cancer Drugs in
The pipeline but Deliberately delay Clinical Trials,
Another Bug Bear of Mine is the Development Costs of these
New Treatments and in turn The Price the NHS has to Pay
to Acquire these Treatments,Bringing about the Dreaded
[Post Code Lotteries].
I really do Believe that One Day Cancer Will be Irradicated
Until then We as Individuals need to keep the Pressure on
Government.
Also we need to Contribute ourselves.
Me Personally I just Thank God My Cancer was Treatable..

We use the word cancer to describe a wide range of illnesses. Gradually, we are coming up with treatments for the more common types of cancer. With more resources, this could happen more quickly. We're unlikely to come up with treatments for the rarer ones.
Please remember that treatment isn't the same as cure. To cure disease, we need a better understanding of how the body works. We've gained a lot of knowledge over the past few thousand years, but we've got an awfully long way to go.

It can be done and the research is being conducted to do exactly this.
As a matter of fact, chemotherapy and radiation treatment are good at killing cancer cells/tumors. The problem is that too much chemotherapy and radiation can also kill the patient. The key is finding a way to target just the cancer or ensuring the patient can be recuperated after a massive chemo/radiation.
There are scientists working on genetic engineering to modify a virus to attack just the cancer/tumor. There are scientists working on cell therapy by working with stem cells. There are many other studies.

I work in the medical profession. And I believe that we already have cures different types of cancers. I have had several discussion with colleges. And we all agree that the cancer drugs and cures are not put out there for the public because pharmaceutical companies. Hospitals, and doctors would lose money in the end. Of course this is just our opinions but from what we have all heard I think we are pretty close to the truth.

If the resources were unlimited, I"m sure a cure could be found. Cancer is a terrible disease in all it"s forms. I watched my Mother fade from a healthy individual to a skeleton and eventual death in a matter of months. I can tell you it is not a nice experience for the sufferer or the family. Lets hope it will happen one day.

Think about it, if they find the cure for cancer (which I am 150% sure they can) there's no money in it. You find the cure and everyone takes it, then what? That's why we have other methods for it that could let you die out for some time period while spending a lot of money during the process (chemo!). I hate to say it but it's true, the government doesn't want a cure, as long as there's money in their pocket.

I live in Memphis where some of the leading cancer research and treatments take place. They are trying to cure cancer, and have been for decades. It is a huge priority, and many of these researchers have devoted their lives to the cause. Believe me (I know several scientists who work at St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital), they are doing everything that can be done to make it happen.

Every week more cures for illness are found. Certain cancers are not the death sentence they once were. Cancer is the decease of rich nations. What about the very small amounts needed to stop young children in Africa going blind. It would be great to cure all ills but the big pharmaceutical companies will not allow it.

Finding cures is not just like a snap of the finger. They have to create a medicine that will kill the cancer but will not harm the body which is extremely hard. And even if they did find a cure cancer spreads very quickly they can stop it by cutting it out but the chances that you know you have cancer before it's too late is very slim.
