Old G n' R. Even though AC/DC made way more albums, GnR had a bigger impact on the music scene in a much shorter period of time. All of AC/DC's stuff sounded the same. G n' R's music had real passion that actually managed to come through all of the booze and drugs.
If you're talking about who would win in a fight, then I would say the original G n' R lineup. I think those guys could have taken on anybody and won, even Aerosmith. Now? I think that Velvet Revolver would still kick AC/DC's butts in a fight, as long as they prop Scott Weiland in a corner someplace out of harm's way. Slash, Duff and Matt are all 40 now and they've all gone through serious rehab, and they still look pissed off and edgy. I wouldn't mess with them.

Interesting quesiton.
If you're referring to their respective music, I gotta give it to AC/DC.
The original G 'n R lineup was a very formidable band, and "Appetite for Destruction" is definitely one of the best rock records of all time. But that's pretty much where the tale ends for Guns 'n Roses.
AC/DC, on the other hand, managed to sustain their simple, four-on-the-floor (five, actually) boogie woogie brillance over a few albums and lineups (including, astoundingly, two different vocalists).
Now if you're talkin' a fistfight...I may have to go with G 'n R -- assuming the fight took place in 1987. Axl and the boys were so drunk, stoned and pissed-off in those days that even five working-class Aussie guys like AC/DC probably couldn't have taken them.
If the fight took place today, however, it's really hard to say. Axl recently punched Tommy Hilfiger, indicating he still has some testosterone left in him. But I doubt he'd want to ruin his botox injections by getting a left-hook from Brian Johnson.
And I don't know whether you saw the VH1 "Behind the Music" regarding G 'n R, but Steven Adler (who's actually the original drummer, not Matt Sorum) is barely able to walk and talk these days, much less engage in a full-on beatdown of a bunch of 40+ year old rockers from down under.
To sum up, you take the Nightrain, I'll take the Highway to Hell.

AC/DC - They've been putting out music for decades now. GNR can't hold it together for a couple of years. Lyrically GNR is better, but you can't deny that AC/DC has been rocking in front of your mom, you, and if you have kids, they will be rocking in front of them. They are one of those legendary bands that has endured time. GNR will never hold a candle to AC/DC and the number of hit songs will prove it.
