This is not a hard question and the answer is very simple. Instead of "toying" with the possibility of having pre-marital sex which often results in a unrealistic expectations and a sexually transmitted disease or pregnancy you should instead seriously consider holding off with sexual intercourse until you marry. This may be an "old-fashioned" response, but society screams the warning of an "old-fashion" attitude with the rise of "unwanted pregancies and non-cures for diseases such as HIV, and genital herpes. One should wait as long as he/she can possibly do so.

I got diagnosed with herpes virus (type 2) about 7 years back, when I was still in college and had a dumb one-night stand. I realize lots of girls will say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores round her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/2Qjxt everything got better.

Not only was I able to eliminate all traces of the herpes simplex virus from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This method provided the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to help you too by sharing this with the whole World.

The answer to this usually boils down to the following:
1, When YOU, and not your boyfriend, are ready. If you don't feel like it, trust your instincts and don't do it. If he really loves you, he will respect your wishes.
2. When BOTH you and he discuss birth control options. Ideally, he MUST wear a condom every time, whether or not it's his or your first time. Sex is once, but herpes is forever. You should consider a back up method like the pill, or spermicides in addition to condoms, as they can fail.
Whether or not you wait for marriage is up to you.

Until their is a band of gold on the finger and the minister or judge announces you are married.
This is not old fashion. Consider the many problems associated with sexual activity. Waiting is the smart thing to do and the most healthy thing to do.

As a mother, I would definitely tell you to wait until your are married! But, as a woman who hasn't forgotten what it was like to be 16+, the best answer is that only you will know if it is right for you. Follow your heart and your mind, not your hormones. And, whatever you decide, make your decision informed, and safe.

WAIT!!!!

SPEND TIME TOGETHER AND DEVELOP A BOND THAT DOESN'T INVOLVE SEX.
IF YOU HAVE SEX BEFORE THIS, CHANCES ARE YOU WILL BE BLOWN OFF BECAUSE THERE IS NO MORE CURIOSITY, AND NO REASON TO EVEN WANT TO GET TO KNOW YOU FOR ANYTHING ELSE.
YOUNG PEOPLE ARE DRIVEN BY THEIR HORMONES AND CURIOSITY. YOUNG GIRLS TEND TO EQUATE SEX WITH LOVE. THIS IS A COMMON MISTAKE. IF HE REALLY LOVES YOU, HE WILL WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE OLDER. IF HE JUST WANTS SEX, HE WILL DUMP YOU FOR NOT GIVING IT TO HIM.
PUTTING OUT IS NEVER A WAY TO ENSURE SOMEONE WILL LIKE/LOVE YOU AND STICK AROUND. IT IS A SUREFIRE WAY TO GET YOUR HEART BROKEN AND DEVELOP A REPUTATION AS A PUSHOVER, OR A S L U T.

Depends on the couple. For me, it varied with the person. When my daugther gets dating age, I am going to explain to the young man that sex with out protection is very dangerous. AND I AM THE BARRIER DEVICE!

If you are 16, wait until you are older, and if you date this person more than 6 months. If you do please use some protection!!
