There is no way to Uninstall IE, but ya u just install Firefox from it's site and when u just start using it, at very first time it'll automatically ask u that do u want firefox as ur default browser, then choose yes, and enjoy Firefox, and as my opinion Firefox is more useful then IE, so forget IE when u start Firefox. To download Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/, it'a about 4.88 MB of size.

my boss says firefox is much better than the rest, less hackers, etc. with firefox, he still runs I/Exp but as said you can only run one at a time but have as many installed as you want, yes it is free, it is also a good browser when others are acting up. you sound alot like me, i am at a loss with computers, i went to hastings and bought"windows xp for dummies" this was the absolute most helpful book and worth every penny of the 20 bucks, it was so easy to understand, not boring at all, finished it in 2 days, anyhow you can i/m me and maybe we can go from there, try downloading a spyware program, that helped me, make sure you do routine norton or virus scans, i got a virus, blaster worm, and i had to call dell, they charged 99 bucks to tell me what to do which is exactly what i learned a week later in that book i mentioned for a heck of alot less at that, but yes you can have 2 or 3 or whatever browsers if you have the memory for it. you should have a program and so should firefox to help guide you along through the installation process, and also as said i wouldnt delete int. expl. it may come in handy ....one day....lol

Leave IE alone. Go to download.com and search for mozilla firefox. Then download. When you open firefox it will ask you if you want firefox to be your default browser. Choose no until you are sure you like firefox. It does have nice features like tabbed browsing. You can use both browsers if you like.
