....it seems anyone and everyone will lie (even if it's a little lie) to cover their ***. I find it hard sometimes to trust anyone! What about you?

It is very difficult. You just have to feel them out first and be very careful. Don't let anything prevent you from enjoying the people you know. You can always test the waters a little with some minor secret or problem and that will help you to know if they can't be trusted at all.

I don't trust people. I have no reason to, and nothing to gain by it. So, for me, distrust is a good and sensible default position.
And it isn't because people lie, either. Everybody lies to some greater or lesser extent. I see that simply as human nature.
It's what motivates the lie that I am more wary of.

it would be a really sad world with no trust.its not right to generalise by saying that everybody will lie to cover their asses.
maybe a lie to make a person feel good about themselves but thats not such a bad thing is it?
trust people till they give you a reason not to trust them

I don't trust anyone. All of my "friends" have turned into backstabbers and any boyfriend I have had has turned out to be a cheater or a liar. All this after I have done everything for them, I guess I'm too nice.
The best way to be is to trust no one but yourself.

I trust very few people. I've been lied to and hurt to many times to just automatically trust people. I know better now.

I tend not to trust people immediately. I'm a nice guy and I like people, but I need to see your trustworthy first but we have a trusting and honest relationship.

Yeah me too I hardly trust people..... there is a certain limit to what I tell people about me, don't like getting too personal.
There are some trustworthy people out there but you have to give it time to really get to know someone.
I can trust my sister 100% though... I know I can always count on her :-)

I give people the benefit of the doubt....
After being back stabbed by my best friend after 19 years, its really hard for me to trust people.... Give them a shot, once they screw up. DONE
