San Antonio is nice with the river walk there. They have shops and bars with a small river that runs through it. It's really romantic.

The mexican border, cause once your are ready to get away from it all, just walk on over. But if you are looking for a night to remember, South Padre Island will give you the nightlife. Galveston will give you the historical laid back, and Houston/San Antonio will give you something to do no matter what you are looking for.

South Padre Island is a great place...also Galveston.

Go to El Paso and eat at the state line restaurant. That steak and beer will make the whole trip worth your while!

Quintana Beach near Freeport is nice.I have alot of good memories from that place
