yeah this question is kinda dumb, but really do other animals beside women do this, and is it like ours?

They normally don't.

Ideally, when the female goes into oestrus, she will be fecundated, so no need for menses.

Monthly periods are peculiar to humankind.

All female mammals have a version of the menstruation cycle; it's part of the reproductive process for that order of animals.

This is actually one reason why many people spay their female pets: less mess on top of avoiding unwanted pregnancies.
