how can i add a download link in dreamweaver?

Click on insert -> hyperlink

Next to "text:" type the words you want to appear on the link people for people to downlaod from such as click here to download

Next to "link:" click on the folder to browse your hard drive for the file you want to allow people to download. Please keep in mind that you have to upload this file to your website's server and the path has to be renamed (not necessarily the same path as in your hard drive unless you set it up that way)

You don't have to worry about "target:" since you aren't loading new page. Once people click on the link it will open up the file and then they can save it. Another way to download is to right click on the link and select "save target as".
