for cell phone service? Why or why not?
I have seen Walmart sells RAZOR for 48.00 2 year contract where online sells 99.00 (they say without contract cost 150)

Why is that??

Yeah in the end it would be same, and I recommend you to buy a cell with a contract so that in case of any mishap with your cell you can claim the company (provided the given time has not expired)

These are just marketing tactics and nothing else.

Mobile phone companies make their money selling you mobile phone services. So a certain provider will lock you into a long-term service contract by giving you a great deal on an expensive phone and requiring you to sign a contract to use their service.

Whether an online mobile phone purchase is better or not, depends on where you go for your online purchase. I have purchased used phones on eBay with great results, but I know what to purchase for my provider and I know how to program the phone when I get it. So, be sure your bases are covered before making an online purchase.

If you are sure about what you are purchasing, Online is better than the store as you might get better deals as well
