Do you like clever writing? Then Adaptation (my favorite from your list) is the movie for you! I also like Minority Report and Bourne Identity. About a Boy and Catch Me if you Can were ok, too.
Sometimes it doesn't matter as much as we think it does about gender and movie watching. I mean, you've already narrowed things down by making a list to choose from, so we're all relating to the same films (those we saw.) I'm female, but I don't think "About a Boy" (the most typically female oriented film on the list) is that great. It might have been better without Hugh Grant, though.

Catch Me If You Can with Leonardo DiCaprio in probably his best performance. Based on a TRUE STORY. My wife and I loved it. Even my DAD did too, and he does NOT WATCH MOVIES! That says it all...
Otherwise, the BOURNE IDENTITY kept us on the edge of our seats because it was SO REALISTIC...I have been to Switzerland, France, and Italy where this was filmed and it was superbly shot on location. The feeling you get inside the Swiss Banks is REAL! You should see these two movies and call me in the morning...You will be happy you did!

Bourne Identity is pretty awesome-spy thriller, mistaken identity.
If you like Leonardo Dicaprio (as an actor) Catch Me If You Can is good but, Gangs of New York is much better.
About a Boy is one of my favorite movies--don't worry it's not a chick flick--it's a commentary on a man who has trouble growing up. Hugh Grant is excellent in it--one of his best performances.

Secretary - Now that's a good movie. Take your copies of Minority Report and Gangs of New York and flush them.

My maximum weird action pictures have been " Mutations " starring Edward Woodard in the 1970's. " do no longer seem now ". with Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie. " The Dummy " i think of that's what it replaced into referred to as with Anthony Hopkins.
