purple...I have dark brown eyes and purple makes them pop. Clinique has pretty purple shadows called Violet Ice. Almay has a great shadow kit especially for brown eyes(you can get the matching liner and mascara, too). I also use sparkling browns when I want a subdued look(Laura Geller Chocolate Mousse). I like pinks too, Clinique Lovey Dovey is great. Good luck!! Have fun and play with different colors to make your eyes pop!!
You can get Almay at Wal-mart,
Clinique at www.clinique.com or www.sephora.com
Laura Geller at www.laurageller.com, www.sephora.com, www.qvc.com

It depends on your skin tone. Usually, contrasting colors bring out the best in any feature. Use brown eyeliner, and soft pinks to make your dark eyes pop. I have dark blue eyes. I use a gray eyeliner and soft purples to bring out my eyes. Try different things and see what you like. Some department stores even have free makeup lessons at their counters. The ladies there should be able to help you choose and purchase makeup that works for you.

greens and browns that are a shade lighter than your eyes, apply a really light color over the whole lid, put a darker brown in the crease and then apply a green (light for day, darker for night) along the lid. Use dark brown, Not black liner. Just a soft line, don't make it too noticable

Copper. I have dark brown eyes and I use Revlon's 12 Hour Colorstay Eyeshadow In Copper Spice. Use the lightest shade to highlight your brow bones, the darker shade closest to your lid, and the medium shade in the crease. Also use the lightest shade in the corners of your eyes, it brightens them right up.

Be sure to eyeline the inside of your bottom lid with blue...it really makes brown eyes stand out.

try a light shimmery color - something that I bet would look great with dark brown eyes is covergirls eyeshadow in champagne - you should give it a try!
