orders of protection do expire. The only way to get one removed is to prove that it is not necessary. That chance of that happening is slim and none if the person who requested it continues to go to court and provides documentation of why it is necessary. If the person who requested the order of protection asks that it be lifted then it can be lifted.

Most cases are not easy but if they have a record like my ex for example it went through the next day without going to court, or easy if they do it and you call the cops that time of frame. But against people harrassing you without cops there could be hard depends on the problem. You can get it extended! As many times as you would like through the same judge! I got mine extended 3 times

Are you asking about a restraining order ? If so all you need to do is go to the court house & sign papers .

petition the courts only the issuing judge can lift it

i think it has to expire.you cant lift it
