The older I get, the more I dress for comfort. I used to be a real fashion plate, but that has lost it's appeal for me. So I guess this would define me as a "comfortable" person.

Most of what I wear has clean, classic lines. I do have some funky pieces I like to mix in as the mood strikes me. Brands don't mean much to me. I'll buy my clothes at Wal-Mart or Macy's or at the Salvation Army. I've acquired many hand-me-down items that are quite interesting. I don't follow trends too often as I don't like a cookie-cutter image. I'll put together outrageous combinations sometimes just because I can. My clothes/appearance doesn't define me, but is rather an extension of part of my personality.

Thank God I have two casual jobs and I can wear jeans and flip-flops to work .I despise 'dressing up' and I feel ridiculous doing it. Currently I have on a pair of Levi's, plasic flip-flops, and a long gray and blue striped t-shirt. That's what I would wear on the weekends as well. It defines me because I'm a casual type of gal, and I don't need name brands to make myself feel important. I've never shopped at Abercrombie & Fitch or Aeropostale or those other mall stores.

I love this topic, and I could go crazy with it but I'll try and be brief. The way a person dresses is absolutely a definition of their personality & the stage of life they are in. I've watched my brother's girlfriend go from slut (pardon the term) to comfort as their relationship progressed. I've watched divorced friends go from comfort to fashionable while going back to the dating game. Not that clothing is all chalked up to dating and the way you appear to the opposite sex but it's a major contributing factor I think. It's the way you present yourself to people... the person that shows off their body is usually the person proud of it and a lot more confident as a person... the one who dresses comfortably is generally happy with just "being them"... I'm going off... time to stop typing...

I dress in what appeals to me. Usually a dark color or red. Often it has something sparkly or glittery. I like blue jeans or loose black pants. I don't like to show much skin. I like my brown boots and my black three-inch heels with pink glitter. (But man those heels hurt my feet.) I don't wear shorts, ever.
They define me as unique and often detached.
(Sometimes, like now, I use a photo of a male character, but I'm female. Just want to let you know for the whole fashion thing.)

When I am at work not at all. THe clothing that I wear to work I just tolerate. Its is okay comfortable but Its boring and just blah. We are buisiness dress here and I cant afford to buy the cute all matchy matchy skirts with the blazers etc.
When I am going out in the evening or something that ima say yes. Then I can show off my ASSets off. =D

The dress reflects your personality, it tell the others the type of person you are; it open or close doors and jobs.
The dress is the mirror of what you do and likes.

Never trendy, always simple lines, simple colors. High end denim is very important, and I avoid any fads or trends because they always fade (usually very quickly) and you are left asking yourself 'what was I thinking?'

I believe so. The way you dress is the way you express yourself. And I believe it is ultimately an extension of your character.
