The sum of the previous tests is 88+100+95+84=367.

In order to have an average of 90 with the addition of a 5th test, the sum of the 5 tests should be 90 x 5 = 450.

450 - 367 = 83. This means that 83 is what the final test needs to be to give the average of 90 overall.

Please note that Jaime has answered 5 tests overall (taking into account the last test). Hence if she needs an average of 90 she should achieve a total marks of 90* 5 = 450;

Her total markes in the first 4 tests are - 88, 100, 95, 84 totaling 367

Hence her last test marks should be: 450 - 367 = 83
