I have an email saying I won and it is from an AOL address, just wondering if I should open it.

Absolutely not!!! It is common for spammers/scammers to spoof email addresses. Just because something came in from AOL does not mean it's safe.
Delete it!

I would say that there is no "safe" way to open a suspicious email. If you do not recognize the sender of the email, I would not take a chance and open it. There are many worms and viruses out there that will damage and possibly destroy your hard drive, if you are not careful. I delete my emails if I do not recognize the sender.

You didn't win. It's probably not really from AOL. I wouldn't bother opening it. If you won something, they (whoever "they" is) would contact you by US mail.

Do the smart thing, don't open any suspicious e mails. I just delete them.

If you're using Outlook you can set your veiwing pane to the Preview pane option. That way you can view it without opening it.

It just means your e-mails were undelivered. (mailerdaemon (at) yahoo (dot) com ) That is how Yahoo tells you, your e-mail was not delivered Nothing to worry about.

If your antivirus has an active email scanner, then it is absolutely safe to open it. AVG Free has an email scanner, I dunno of others. You can get AVG from:
