A background check is usually required, but there is no law that says an employer can't hire you. But he wouldn't.

the law in michigan just passed that if you are a child molester you can't hold a position in a public school, like custodian or bus driver, etc., and that these entrants be background checked.

yah a police check then its up to the employer
