When ever someone sends me pictures (intext) with an email message, the picture box only shows an "Red X" and blank space

It happens to me sometimes too. There are various reasons why it does it, but if someone forwards a message with a picture attached to it, and they 'lose the link' along the way (the website they got the picture from doesn't exist anymore, or moved, etc.) you'll get the red x...but also, I have noticed that Outlook Express is bad about removing them off too. Thye will let you click on the area at the top of your message to download the pictures, but even then sometimes you cannot.

To combat this, if I get something that I want to forward along, and I know the pictures aren't going to make it, I'll save them to my pictures, and attach them myself.

I haven't figured out how to fix that either...but then I haven't figured out how to open a document Outlook Express won't let me open because it MIGHT have a virus, even though I mailed it to myself! Egads... never send yourself a .tif file, you'll never open it again.

I had this problem once. Its a setting in your Mail box that is preventing you from seeing pictures. I went to the site below and researched it and found how to fix it.
