i have a Creative webcam that was installed on the old comp. Just got a new comp. and cant find the old install disk for the cam. Is there any way i can install the cam without the disk or do i have to go buy a new webam??

Windows XP is really good about recognizing hardware and using it's own drivers for it.

If that doesn't work, try searching the web cam manuf. site for drivers.

www.griversguide.com, type in the name of youur webcam, and it will tell you the driver you will need. It will require you to sign up for a FREE account, but I have had an account for five years, and it does NOT require credit card or any money, EVER. Only a valid email account. GOOD LUCK. actually you dont have to get a new webcam but you would definitly require a driver CD for it you can borrow the cd from some one who has the same model of webcam or else search for the cd or else download the driver from Driver.com

Go to http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/ and select your camera. They have your driver.
