It's probably spoofing. Basically, spammer may send mails that seem to originate from an address that is yours. If the email bouces, it is sent back to the originator, e.g. the FROM address.

This is actually quite easy to do. Just to show you how easy it is, simply change your contact information in Outlook or Outlook Express to another user. And that's it! You can be whoever you want to be! However you'll never receive any replies since the reply-to address is not you.

Turns out this user used by the spammer is you... Sorry!

It could be a number of things. You could have a virus and be a bot. Someone else could be spoofing your email address (which could be someone in your contact list). Here is a link to assist in tracking down where the messages originated by looking at the email header. http://www.stopspam.org/email/headers.html. I would also reccomend a full system scan on your pc.
