I lived in Las Vegas for many yrs. so yes, I've "brushed elbows" with many of them. I could tell stories about some but I won't. People in L.V. learn how to mind their own business & let the celebrities do their own thing. In a lot of cases, your job depends on it. Hotel workers, casino workers, restaurant workers etc. Some I met include 1. Elvis(the real one)2. Burt Reynolds 3. Bob Newhart 4. Jerry Lewis 5. Dianne Carroll 6. Lee Marvin 7. Robert Goulet 8. Debbie Reynolds 9. Suzzane Summers 10.Seigfried & Roy etc., etc. etc.

I used to work for a concert venue and had a couple of good brushes.

When Britney Spears was young (and actually good looking), she came to our venue. They told me I needed to go to the airport and pick up someone. So I drove over there, and had a sign for the person. I had no idea that the name I had was an alias Britney was using, so I ended up driving her and her bodyguard Rob to our venue. She is actually a very nice person.

Other brushes include David Copperfield, Garth Brooks (in passing), Brooks and Dunn, and some others. The last person I met was Rob Thomas and we actually got to chat for a while. He was really cool.

I was vacationing in Puerto Rico years ago. At that time Macho Camacho the boxer was very popular. He was at a club in San Juan with his brother , his body guard and his entourage. He flirted with me and offered to buy me a house. He was very conceited and was showing off. I did get free drinks all night.
Five years ago I was at Central Park in New York and Jerry Seinfeld was there. He was very nice and my friend took a picture of the both of us. Three years ago Bacala from the Sopranos came to my job for an HBO promo and we all got to speak to him, take pictures with him and get autographs. Also when I was younger I lived in Louisiana . I was about 6 years old and was hanging out with my parents by the Mississippi River and spoke to Red Skelton without knowing who he was and Marty Feldman without knowing who he was. Oh and I just remembered when I was in New York City shopping Lisa Lisa was crossing the street towards me and my eyes got big but she kind of gave me a look like " please don't " winked and smiled at me and we both went our seperate ways.

My favorite brush was with Greg Moore (Champ car/CART driver when CART was still entertaining...killed in 1999). I used to travel overseas a lot for work and was leaving out of Milwaukee. I had forgotten the CART race was in Milwaukee the day before. Evidently, there was sort of controversial call in the race. Anyway, I was talking with the guy about the race and when I asked who won, his attitude changed. He wasn't mean, just kind of huffy or upset I guess. After a few minutes I asked his name, and it was Greg Moore. He finished 2nd to Paul Tracy that race. Real nice guy. I didn't ask for autographs as I find this disrepsectful when in public.

I met Bo Jackson once at the DMV. The guy behind me kept saying how it looked like him, so I finally just went up and asked the guy. He said that is who he was and seemed real nice.

My cousin graduated with Mark Bortz of the Chicago Bears (Super Bowl team).

Met a few NASCAR drivers. I met Kenny Irwin at the track a few months before he was killed. Robby Gordon is a very nice person. He always took time to get down and take pictures with kids when people asked him.

A bunch of CART/Champ Car drivers. Jimmy Vassar is a world-class act (friendly as can be and a real gentleman).

My brother got invited to a CART reception at the ESPN Zone in Chicago. We went and hung out with a bunch of the drivers. Roberto Moraneo (sp?) was hilarious (walking around with two beautiful women, telling us how he might get lucky tonight). Darva Conger was at the same reception, but didn't talk to her as she had two apes for bodyguards. Juan Montoya was OK, you felt like a pain in the rear when you spoke to him.

Who else...

Bret Michaels and Rickki Rocket (and the guitarist after CC Deville...don't remember this name) of Poision at Alpine Valley. Bret was a very nice guy. Rickki was just quit.

A few of the Seattle Seahawks came to Juneau, Alaska when I was young. Got to meet Steve Largent and Bill Gregory when I was young. Bill liked me for some reason as I have a bunch of pictures of him carrying me around.

I've lost track of the politicians I've met over the years.

In 1979 I ran into DeForest Kelley at the National Air& Spacw museum. I asked him if the upcoming Star Trek motion picture would make millions of dollars. He said, "IT might. I won't!"
