I am 4 months pregnant and my husband seems to want sex all of the time...not that I'm complaining or anything, but is that healthy for the baby? I've been told that having too much sex could send you into premature labor but I thought sex would only send you into labor when you got close to the due date.

sex is healthy while you are pg. The only way it would not be if the doctor has told you otherwise. You are okay. Believe me the doctor will tell you! When i turned to high risk i was forbidden to have sex till i was about due. Then he told me if i wanted to go into labor faster to have sex,but by then i didn't want too...I had her 3 days later...the baby is completely safe and out of harms way!

Hehe, you are lucky, my husband's sex drive suddenly went down recently and when I finally asked him why, he said that it was kind of uncomfortable because everthing is getting really tight in there. But now we just found some more comfy positions so it worked out pretty well lol. There is a great book that I got in college called "The guide to getting it on." It's a really funny book about sex, though most people already know all the stuff that's in it. Anyway, it has a whole chapter on having sex while you are pregnant that I found useful. Basically it seems like unless you have some established problem like placenta previa or thin cervix, you can pretty much have as much sex as you like up until you give birth. Some say that it actually helps in the weeks before the birth to make things easier. You should ask your doctor about your case in particular, but there shouldn't be any danger if you don't have some abnormal condition already. :)

With my second pregnancy, I wanted sex ALL day long. EVERYDAY and did so at least 1-2 times per day (with my husband, that is). We did this up until I went into labor at 39 weeks. Unless you have a high risk pregnancy OR your doctor advises you otherwise, it is perfectly safe!

Have fun!!

You are safe. Normal intercourse will not harm you or the baby. It will become uncomfortable as you grow but you can adjust your positions so that pressure is not on your abdomen during sex. If your husband is sensitive to your needs and discomforts you should be able to enjoy sex clear through the pregnancy.

Sex is good through most of the pregnancy, if your husband releases in you it helps to thin out the wall of the uterus.

relax and talk to your doctor.

at 4 months, you are fine. When you get closer to your third trimester, please talk to your doctor. At 4 months, sex is not going to hurt the baby or induce labor.

- A review of medical evidence has found that fetuses likely don't feel pain until the final months of pregnancy, a powerful challenge to abortion opponents who hope that discussions about fetal pain will make women think twice about ending pregnancies.
