First, before I talk about myself, perhaps you should look at yourself instead of just relying on others. One of the lessons I learned in life is that sometimes what you want to do is right in front of you and you may never realize it. Take a look at your interests. You will notice that there are certain ones that for some reason always will keep your attention. Are there certain types of news that holds you more than other? Are their certain classes that you actually enjoy and don't mind the assignments?
For me, I have always been a science geek. Science was a great love of mine, regardless of the subject. Biology was particularly fun. When I got older, I began to realize though, that I always was interested in people and culture. So, I began to ask myself what I really wanted. The more I learned about the idea of evolution and how one's environment is important, I began to wonder if perhaps we, with our ability to literally modify environments to suit our needs, may be influencing our future.
So, I am currently studying anthropology with minors in archaeology and biology. I am wanting to study how we may be influencing changes in ourselves with our culture.

WAS Biology with a concentration in Zoology and a double minor in Economics and Leadership.
What HAVE I DONE WITH THAT?
Gone into the Peace Corps to discover that life is not limited by what you have studied.
What CAN I DO...?
Anything I want to. At this particular time, I choose to use what I have learned in teh Peace Corps rather than what I studied at school. But I can always go back... but I prefer to go forward.
Your options are limitless, really. If you wish to pursue a specific career, then by all means find a major that will aide you. If you are not sure, take a few classes in different areas to see what intrigues you. What you become post-graduation is rarely clearly reflected by what you study.
My best advice... no matter what you study, go to a good LIBERAL ARTS school.

Civil Engineering and I am minoring in Math and French. I really want to do work over seas in Third World countries helping them in a variety of different ways. I can teach them math, creat new ways for them to save the little resources they have (like drinkable water). But I also plan on working in the states, where I would be designing roads and bridges and transportation type stuff! I am really excited! I cannot wait to graduate and see what I can do in this world!

I got my BA in Political Science, and am now going back for a Post-Degree Diploma in Social Policy Issues. I would like to get into Social Advocacy and Policy Development work, preferably within Global Health and Development. Sort of a social warrior for the world's poorest and sickest.

I was an art major and now work in design and advertising. Business is a good major to have, you are able to have many choices that way.
