If I understand it right, it isn't that Bush is saying: "Here you go tallyban (because that's how he would say it)", and giving them cash. It's that the aid we're giving to Pakistan is getting funneled through tribal leaders and has led to the resurgance of the Taliban.
If you don't think the Taliban is back and stronger than they've been since their toppling, then you've been drinking some really bad Kool-Aid. We are on the verge of losing Afghanistan and Karzai has basically become the Mayor of Kabul at this point.
We should have truly finished the job there before considering any other military maneuvers.
It now looks like we're going to lose two wars instead of one thanks to this administrations incompetence.
