do you agree that in many cases women feel sad for very superficial reasons, or do I have a wrong impression?

I think it's a brain chemistry thing. And yes, it probably makes it appear that women are sad over superficial things. But it's not superficial to the ones who are feeling sad about it.

I'm female, but I tend not to be as overly emotional as many of my women friends, so I can kind of see both sides of it.

No, I can't agree with you. I can agree that women show more visible signs of depression than men but that doesn't mean there are more women depressed than men.

Women seem to feel that it is our responsibility to take of others and keep things under control. We worry ourselves with things that are beyond our control and in the process we feel we have let others down when we fail.

usually it's a man CAUSING our depression...lol....but now that you mention it i think you are right
